ASI is Hiring a Driver (Plain City, OH) Near Plain, OH
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload products and materials
- Driving safely from job sites to office and back
- Verify what materials are needed for job sites with the warehouse manager
- Drive and safely secure loads in stake bed trucks
- Install metal, or other materials to make the roof weatherproof.
- Measure roofs to calculate the quantities of materials needed.
- Use hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers, and electric spraying tools
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- Able to sit for extended periods while operating vehicles.
- Be able to safely ascend/descend a ladder frequently, up to 40 feet
- Be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Want to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions
- Have reliable transportation
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Candidates will have a road test during their in-person interview. Pulling out and backing up with a 24’ trailer in the ASI lot.
- Valid driver's license required
- High school education or GED
- 1 years of trailer hauling experience. Experience pulling a 24’ trailer or larger is a plus.
- 1 years of commercial roofing experience (preferred)
- Hazmat endorsement is a plus
- Construction safety certification such as OSHA training is a plus
- Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy loads
- Communication and teamwork skills including an openness to receiving feedback from superiors
- General knowledge of flatbed trailers, and proper load securing procedures
- General knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques, and specialties
- Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work
- Ability to read and follow instructions from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams
- Hourly rates are $18-$20 / hr
- Work Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM M-F and overtime as needed
